1. Hydrate from within:

It may sound cliché, but one of the best ways to prevent dryness of the face is by drinking enough water. Keep your body hydrated by drinking water regularly throughout the day. I always add a pinch of Celtic sea salt to mine. This helps to hydrate your skin from the inside and prevent moisture loss.

 2. Use a mild facial cleanser:

Avoid aggressive and chemical facial cleansers that can dry out your skin. Instead, opt for a gentle, natural facial cleanser that removes dirt and impurities without stripping your skin's natural oils.

 3. Use a moisturiser:

A good moisturiser is essential to prevent dryness of your face. Apply it daily after cleansing your face.

4. Protect your skin from the sun:

Exposure to the sun can dry out and damage the skin. Therefore, use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 daily to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Apply sunscreen as the last step in your skincare routine, even on cloudy days.

5. Avoid prolonged exposure to hot water:

Prolonged showering or bathing in hot water can remove the natural oils from your skin and cause dryness. Therefore, limit the time you spend in the shower and use lukewarm water instead of hot water. Gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel and apply moisturizer immediately after showering to prevent moisture loss.

 6. Add a facial oil to your routine:

Facial oils are great additions to your skincare routine, especially if you suffer from dryness. Choose a natural facial oil for extra hydration and nourishment.
